Combining a two-storey and a single-storey rear extension, we created an open-plan kitchen and living room area that enables our client to enjoy a real family-focused area.

Building a new orangery that replaced the former conservatory helped to create this open-plan living area. This beautiful orangery feature was complemented by a number of other internal improvements.

A two-storey side extension and a single-storey rear extension completely transformed this 1970s house in Cheadle Hulme.

Our brief was to completely overhaul the external appearance of a generic 1970s house to create a beautifully rendered modern executive home, with oak-framed porch. We achieved this by designing a two-storey side and a single-storey rear extension. These additions created extra space for a master bedroom suite to the first floor, complete with en-suite and dressing room, as well as increasing the size of kitchen and overall living accommodation.

The floor-to-ceiling glass doors across the rear elevation ensure the garden feels like part of the flow of the ground floor living space.

When we designed a single-storey extension to this property on Alan Road, we were able to help our client create a beautiful open plan kitchen and dining area that enables friends and family to cook, eat and socialise together. The inclusion of large aluminium ‘sliding/folding’ doors to the garden helped to create a feeling of ‘bringing the outside in’.

We also helped to re-model the entrance to the house and the hallway to create a new flow to the property that leads through to the light and open rear extension.

This stunning property was already blessed with great views, it was our challenge to maximise these vistas for the client.

To maximise the views across the countryside to the rear, we began by designing a more aesthetically appealing rear elevation. This included a second storey extension to replace the existing dormer.

As well as including floor-to-ceiling windows that made the most of the vista, we also increased head height to maximise the usable space. On top of the aesthetic improvements, we also took the opportunity to improve the thermal efficiency of the roof space.
